According to a 2012 study in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, dieters who eat out for lunch even once a week lose 5 fewer pounds on average than those who pack their own food.

If you want to control your weight, you really need to control your food. It's as simple as that and the chemicals, hidden saturated fats, and sugars in fast and restaurant foods are just too much of a gamble.

So when you can, make it yourself... you'll feel better for it and lose more weight!
